You don't hear the sounds of sad and die in it; say and dee.
I don't like Sadie because it sounds like the name of a cheap saloon girl circa 1930, or like a stereotypical Jewish mother in a 1950s comedy show.
And I've run across so many dogs named Sadie it's not even funny.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
