Alyssa
Thoughts on Alyssa?

Replies

It's pretty enough, but the meaning is unfortunate
It's alright. Pretty, do like it, but not a favorite.
I think Alyssa is very pretty. However, I would prefer Alice.
Alyssa is a funny one. Although I should consider it "middle aged" since I grew up with so many (and other Alyssa-esque names like Alisha and Alicia) it still feels young. Like it's hard for me to imagine anyone named Alyssa being older than, I don't know, 25. Despite it having such young energy, it feels a bit tired and played out.
I like it, it's alright. The spelling is pretty and I like the association with the flower, but I prefer Alicia and Elissa.
Strangely although I love the nickname Lyssa, I find Alyssa dull and uninspiring.
I have always enjoyed the name Alyssa; it's very common among my age-group, but it never gets old for me! I'd gladly name a daughter as Alyssa, personally!
It's ok
It's not my style, but I like Elysia, Elissa, Elisa!
Alyssa and Alissa are both pretty. They are a bit dated but not terribly so.
Like lots of alyssum? I love Alice and Alison, and would gladly use either. Alyssa doesn't come close.
I'd use it
I really dislike it. It's hissy but not even in a fun serpentine way. It drably lags.
