I recently saw Izaya, pronounced Isaiah. I saw it on a nametag and thought ee-ZAI-ah was a cool name and wondered where it was from, but then I heard it and it was just a weird spelling of Isaiah.
Jeorjia

Shivonne, was supposed to be Siobhan. I assumed it was an elaboration of Yvonne.
I had a teacher named Shivhan
In real life:
Exzavier
Izeck
Mahrkee - Marky
Marky is a weird name to begin with.
Other than this kid, I have only actually seen Marky used as a nickname for Mark or Marcus.
I saw a Markie Mae online today and wasn’t a fan
Jessyka (for Jessica) or K'Ya for Kaya
Not too long ago, I saw a name tag that said...Jacksxyn.Wanna guess how many of those letters are silent?
I’ve seen Jacksyn for a girl but adding that extra x makes it even weirder.
I just realized where the X was placed, and that’s bizarre. I assumed it was before the S.
The weirdest spelling (which is saying a lot due to the number of multiple variant spellings I've seen over my at least three decades) is when I had someone tell me my own name was spelled weird. My name is Amanda. Person telling me this was also named Amanda only spelled Ahmahnduh. It broke me for awhile at age ten. It was during a girl scout event. I was a Junior scout.
In a way, I get it. There are a lot of names I didn’t know were spelled weirdly growing up because they were the only spellings I’d seen.
The first time I met a DAN-YELL it was Danyel, and when I saw Danielle I thought that Danyel was normal and Danielle was some silly floofy frilly version.
Djennah
Qathi instead of Cathy or Kathy
I guess that’s a way to modernize it.
Kaeliegh Elysabyf
Braedyn
Makynzy
Bryttanie
Fabjenn instead of Fabienne
Cimbaly instead of Kimberly/Kimberley
Kijara instead of Chiara
Maikel/Meikel/Maik/Meik instead of Michael/Mike
Saimen instead of Simon
Schackelin instead of Jacqueline
Suen instead of Sue-Ann
Valc instead of Falk
Some of these would never be pronounced correctly, yikes. Cimbaly looks like “cymbals”.

Plus: Schaklin & Schakkeline instead of Jacqueline
WOW, I never would’ve expected that!

Varying spellings has a long history in English: https://www.shakespeare-online.com/biography/shakespearename.htmlIRL the least conventional spelling of a name I've seen is Jaxxon for Jackson. It's probably an urban myth but I did read in a magazine about a girl named KVIIIlyn for Caitlin (VII being eight in Roman numerals).
Oh, it’s not a myth, at least not for CVIIIlyn. There was a story about a doctor trying to pronounce her name, and he ended up saying “civilian”.
VII is 7; VIII is 8. As I'm sure you know! But with that lowercase L, anyone would be confused.
I once met an Issac that was spelled Izzeck.
Kollyns
Ellaouise
Tanaeng Pron Tanae
Annaliieesse
Sebestyieen
Elyjjah

Daphney
Phinnaeus

Rhyen f
Cassadee

Yeah, it reminds me of a chickadee actually haha
