Ivy Maria
I came up with this combo a while back but then decided it was too close to "ave Maria" and shelved it. But now I'm looking at it again. Is Ivy Maria too close to Ave Maria to be useable?

Maria is my least favorite common name for a woman, and I think Ivy sounds mean, and on top of that, I think praising a make-believe person for her virginity endlessly is beyond ridiculous.
Well, Maria is part of my mother in law's name, so it would be in relation to her, not the Christian character. In this case it wouldn't have anything to do with praising Mary's virginity, it's just a coincidence.
It's always lovely having an honour mn
Yes both combos are great. I really like Ivy Maria. But is to close to Ave Maria!
It does sound a lot like Ave Maria! I’m not a fan of Maria, so I could think of quite a few names I’d prefer as a mn to Ivy.
Ivy Maria is wonderful!
It’s lovely and melodic and, yes, calls to mind “Ave Maria,” but Catholic kitsch is fun!
Catholic kitsch IS fun! I'll keep it around just for kicks then.
I don't like Ivy and yes too close to Ave, but most won't know the combo/middle name
I think so ...They're both very nice names, but Ave Maria was my first thought when I read the combo.
