Yeah I can't just think of a scenario where a woman would just hand over the responsibility of naming her child, even if she wasn't particularly interested in names

My grandma did because she didn’t care, but she gave the responsibility to the father and let him pick whatever he wanted for both their daughters. He must not have cared much either since he just said the first thing that popped into his head when asked.
The husband being an exception of course. I've known plenty of women that had their husband pick the baby name. I'm talking about the scenario where a random cousin, uncle, random none-immediate relative picks the baby name. That is significantly less common.
