As I get older and more mature I’m starting to lean ever so slightly toward the “boring” and traditional names, especially for boys.
Such as…
Philip (the nn Pip or Pippin sold me on it)
Laurence (it’s not as common as Lawrence but it’s still very familiar, especially among older people)
Francis (not in my top list but I really like it)
My girl names are all pretty out of the ordinary except for Pamela; she’s one of the ultimate “boomer” names and pretty common but she’s soooo luxurious and sweet!
Also maybe Joan, she’s kind of plain and simple but I love her strong confident sound and adorable nn Joanie.
