Roman reminds me of convicted sex offender director Roman Polanski so it's not a name I find appealing.Osian is my preference. Are you pronouncing it "OSH-ann" or "oh-see-an"? Osian is a Welsh boys name. I'm more used to seeing the Irish name Oisín ("aw-SHEEN" or "oh-SHEEN") or the literary Ossian.

I’m not sure how relevant Polanski is in 2024 or in the uk as in I don’t think the generation and the next one will necessary have that association. I don’t really know who he is so that probably wouldn’t worry me unless our surname was Polanski. Definitely the Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 way! We are both Welsh but don’t live in wales.
