Still blows my mind that it's not more popular. It's one of those 'old lady' names that fits a young girl too (like Evelyn does now). Agnes has always been fairly ageless to me, I can see a wide range fitting this one well. It's mature, but not stuffy and matronly. A touch of youth, but not babyish. Fresh, but not bizarre. Historical, but not obscure. What more could you ask for?
