Balerion Ecclesiastes Snuffleupagus - for a new fish, and what would you name your fish?
Finally, after like 2 years of wanting one I finally got a new betta fish for my work with clients 😄🐟 his full " government name" is Balerion Ecclesiastes Snuffleupagus after: the HOTD dragon as he is dragon-esque in appearance (I am currently in the process of watching season 2), my overly fundamentalist religious roots, and "Snuffy" from Sesame Street. But he is "Baby Blue" for short. Your opinions, and what would you name your hypothetical Betta fish as an over-the-top name with 2 pop culture names, a name that is a nod to your background, and with a cutesy nickname today?
Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

Strangely, just yesterday I found an explanation of my 6th great grandmother's name - Christenater. Her name combined the beginning word of "Christ" with an ending word of "enater". In Latin, "Enater" is the first person form of "Enato", which can be translated to mean "I escape as if by swimming". So the name "Christenater" could be translated to mean "I escape as if by swimming, with the help of Christ". Her twin brother's name was Christopher.
Oceana Naterblythe Topsail- "Nater", "Oshee" or "Topsy" Happily swimming in the ocean just off Topsail Beach, NC. Topsail is pronounced Top-sol

I still would go with Alpha Betta, and when I got a second fish I'd call it Betta Max.
Asmodina Esmeraude Chaxiraxi "Audie".
Asmodina as a feminine form of Asmodeus, Esmeraude from the name of a character on Sailor Moon and Chaxiraxi because it's the name of a goddess in Guanche mythology.
I like the first two names, but Snuffleupagus is too over-the-top for me. As for a nickname, I'd choose Lerion.

I once had a very cute one-eyed ranchu goldfish called Jojo the Dog-faced Boy. I love ranchus and the way they wiggle.
A friend once had a betta called Chakotay, from Star Trek Voyager. It suited him.
I've had other fish called Fifi Lemieux, Mystery, and Benoît.
If I had to follow your rule I might pick something like.... Chilchuck Wallace Popple aka "Chilly Willy".

I LOVE ostentatious names for fish lol, I think it's brilliant. Very refined, very sophisticated. I've always said that if I got multiple fish I would give them very over-the-top names, but leave one of them very mundane. For example, I would introduce them as, "This is Ignatius, and this here's Ebenezer. We've got Bartholomew, Amadeus...and this is Steve."
Using your requirements, I would probably go with Goliath Duoro Ebenezer and call him "Weezer" as a nickname.
Goliath for the leader of the clan in Disney's animated 90's show Gargoyles. Betta fish have wing-like fins, yeah?
Duoro pays homage to my Portuguese roots, it's the name of a river in Portugal.
Ebenezer for Christmas being my favorite time of year and the Dickens story living in my heart all year round.
It's not as fancy-shmancy as yours haha, but I like it.
