Mylynda
What do you think?

Replies

It’s a bit . . . much. I’m all for modernising names and looking for cool alternatives, but things get a tad crazy when the two y’s have different pronunciations they’re place holding. Maybe not Mylynda, but Mylinda (kinda cute like “my linda”) or Melynda (as it would be pronounced as Melinda is! :) ) could be snazzy alternative spellings of the name that isn’t clasing in spelling and pronunciation.

Mylinda is cute!
Two spikey Ys, pronounced differently I presume. Not attractive looking, and there would be pronunciation issues. Lynda sounds like Linda, but My must surely be like 'belonging to me'? Too fussy, and not worth the effort. I like Linda and Belinda, though not enough to use; Melinda doesn't appeal to me, and Mylynda is a whole lot worse.
It makes me think of Mylanta for upset stomachs. The lyl is throwing it off and it looks very strange. Melinda looks much better. If you are trying to get it to be pronounced more like my-lynda with this spelling; there are better ways so it isn't so y heavy - Milinda, Milynda, Mylinda, but either way the pronunciation and overall look of Melinda or even Malinda is better.
Don't like it at all, like Melinda though
It looks like "My Lynda", which could be cute (in the same way as calling a kid Darlene would be - My Darlene (darling), but it does not look very pretty.Melinda looks good as it is, although I don't mind Malinda too much.
No, thank you. Too many Ys.
