Pet names at the vet
I took my dog to the vet yesterday and the lobby had a chalk billboard listing the names of all the pets with appointments that day. I noted them down out of interest.Abby
Camila
Charlie
Chuck
Coco x3
Cosmos
Delaney
Diana
Ellie
Gigi
Isse (pronounced Izzy - I heard the dog's owner saying this name)
Katie
Lady Bird
Leo
Logan
Lola
Miles
Miss Tiger
Molly
Momo
Moose
Panini
Penelope
Phoebe
Rocket
Rusty
Ryder
Sadie (my dog)
Stella
Sugar
Theodore
Tito
Woody Hines
YoteA significant portion of these names could be names of little kids, which is fascinating to me. I wonder if human names given to pets tend to follow the same name trends as actual human names.LISTEN TO THE MUSTN'TS

Yote? What in the world is that?Panini is pretty funny.
The rest are by and large very predictable. Especially the three Cocos. I bet they were all chocolate Labs and all their owners thought they were being creative. lol
I think they do follow the same trends! When I worked at a vet in the 90s-early 00s, we saw dogs being named certain names that were trendy for babies. Bailey (TONS of Baileys), Jasmine, Lily, Bella, Destiny, Mackenzie, Harley, Chloe, Zoe, Sage, Alexis, Lexus, Armani, Riley, Kendall, Donovan, Dakota, Delaney, Dylan / Dillon, Chance, Jackson, Milo are some I remember seeing. Sadie, Abby, Katie, Charlie, Molly, Coco, Stella, and Lola (all on your list) were also frequent, maybe some of the most frequent. They strike me as more longer-term fashions. Also Daisy, Max, Nora, Beau seem longer-term popular.
