Thoughts on the name Paige for a girl?

Replies

Don't like it because it sounds too much like a word name.
I think that Paige is a pretty and neat name for a girl!
If it hadn't been so popular in the 90's I probably wouldn't even think it looks or sounds like a name at all. I don't know what attracted people to it.
I'm surprised to see this name being a top 100 name in the US as recently as 15-20 years ago, it seems like a slightly less dated sister name of Jessica, or Ashley, or Nicole.I don't dislike it! I've always found the premise of it being a misspelled word, "Page", to be a bit odd, but Page as a name is a no-go to me - it just looks like a word.
Paige has always been a consistant name for me. I have always liked it, never a favorite but never disliked it, if I kept track of all the names and where I had them ranked Paige would probably be one of the most consistant places.
It's very 80s/90s, but I like it. Short and sweet, but not too serious.
I love it!
I love this name
I like it, more so as a middle name. A parent’s friend has a daughter named Virginia Paige, and I also know a very nice Paige.

I’ve always thought this was SUCH a dumb name. The one Paige I know is a spoiled, insular woman I can’t stand.
I suppose the i is in there to make a difference? I really don't like it at all, though the only one I know is pleasant and pretty. The sound isn't bad, but the knight's apprentice and the things that make up a book ... no!
I just think of a Page Boy because of its meaning.
I've always seen it as a little bland. Single-syllable, abrupt names can sound good, but Paige just feels empty and incomplete to me. Something's missing. It doesn't have the substance I'm looking for.
Don't really like it. Every time i see it i think the next one will be leaf
