It's definitely out there but I don't think it's terrible. I inherited a very old baby name book and it had Waldbenga in there for a girl. I think that one is a little much and I was surprised to see it as I have never heard the name before and most of the other names were very traditional.
Don't like it at all
I love the character on Boy Meets World, and I actually thought it was very pretty growing up. Now I view it as rather ridiculous - though not as ridiculous as Topanga's sister (who was written out of the show), Nebula.
Love how you remember she had s sister! I'm from that generation too, and Friday TGIF shows!
Yep, she had a sister for one early episode. Later on, though, she was referred to as a single child.
In seven years, though, Topanga had three sets of parents and her backstory changed multiple times, so who knows.

Doesn't sound like a real name.
I agree..
Sounds like something on a Mexican restaurant menu. Two crisply fried topangas with chicken or beef, salsa verde, red onions, cilantro and guacamole. Rice and beans on the side.
You're right & that sounds good! I want a fried topanga.
It’s a gp for me, I love the character from “Boy Meets World”. I definitely wouldn’t use this on a real person, but maybe for a pet.

Personally, it's not my style. However, when I was scrolling I came across "names I liked for my kid but didn't use" videos, and one lady said she considered Topanga for her kid, because of the TV character. I guess the content or whatever you consume when you're younger has an influence on what you name your kids, because I saw some other people who kept saying Eloise because of Eloise at the Plaza or Kit because of the American Girl doll.
Very true. I checked the members on facebook and there are MANY people out there that were named Topanga making me like it a bit.
