Xavier (f)
There was a female contestant on a game show named Xavier. Thoughts? I’d never thought of Xavier as gender neutral, but I actually didn’t think it was too bad.

I don't think it works as well on a girl.
Hate itXavier (M) is one of my favorite names
Don't like it for a girl
I just don't see the point in using Xavier as a feminine name. With Xavia, Xaviera and Xavière in a French context already existing, why not using these? Xavier is too masculine.
I'd get used to it if I knew her, but just in general, I don't like it and prefer Xavier as a male name.
Xavière has actual roots as a girl name and Françoise-Xavière, and Javiera, would prefer those.
Nope. Not a fan.I'm not inherently opposed to "boy" names used as "girl" names, but this... nope.
Xavia is better for females. I like Xavier for males only.
Not a fan. Xavier is all male to me.
St Francis Xavier was an important MALE saint in the Roman Catholic Church so Xavier is all male to me. Now, there was a tradition long ago that female nuns took male saint names (the principal at my girls school was called Sister Bonaventure) but now the practice has been largely abandoned and nuns now go by their own names. This "boy names for girls" trend is one of my least favourite.
Not being a Catholic, I didn't know about the change, so when I met a Sister Jennifer I was seriously amazed.
