Birdie, Scottie, and Goldie
So how did Birdie, Scottie, and Goldie appear in the top 1000? Where did they come from? They just seem so random to me. I guess vintage nicknames like Millie and Lottie are in now, but these don’t really have the same feel to me. And I seriously cannot picture Goldie on a human.

I really detest Birdie and Scottie. I hate boys names on girls. Goldie is a little better, but still sounds like a nickname. Would prefer Golda.
Birdie follows the nature trend and the vintage name trend. I personally really like the name.
Scottie follows the whole ln (Scott) as fn thing and the gender neutral name trend.
Goldie also follows the vintage and nature trends and I love it! It’s actually a rather old name, popular among Jewish people and a variant of Golda. I would use Goldie irl, it’s such a fun name. I also love Millie and Lottie, so there you go!
Goldie Hawn is an actress, but she hasn't been popular in a while. So I don't think the popularity comes from her.
I totally forgot about Goldie Hawn.
I believe they are celebrity baby names.
Goldie was once fairly popular, a hundred or so years ago, especially, it seems from my (limited) research, among Jewih families.
And there is Goldie Hawn.
I don’t know, but Birdie and Scottie are awful. Scottie isn’t even a vintage name. Goldie is okay, but I’d prefer it as a nickname for Marigold.
If Lark, Raven etc, why not Birdie? Scottie is I suppose a feminisation of Scott, which is just another lnfn. I'm familiar with Goldie, like Ruby and Pearl etc, as a predominantly Jewish name: I hadn't even realised that Goldie Hawn is a Jew until five minutes ago when I looked her up: she was named after an aunt, so Goldies go back a longish way.
Lark and Raven are actual names of birds, though. Birdie sounds like a baby talking about birds.
Most nicknames probably originate in baby-talk. Which is one reason why I don't enjoy nns as fns, but many other people do.
All three are following various name trends.Birdie - nature nameScottie - boy names on girls. This expanding group also has Charlie, Frankie, Stevie etc...Goldie - colour names like Hazel, Violet, Ruby etc...These three are also nature names. Actress Goldie Hawn is a bearer of the name.
