Sir, as in the honorific? no. Don't care for any title or rank as a name. Never seems appropriate to me.

I'm not comfortable commenting on names from a different culture. I'm tired of people down voting and insulting names that don't adhere to their personal norms. This site is extremely classist and Eurocentric.
