I would like Ella more if it wasn't Spanish for "she/her" (btw my dyslexia originally decided to type that as snapish lmao) It wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't regularly around Spanish speakers and hear it. I'm not opposed to names that mean woman or girl, like Donna or Nina. I like Nina a fair amount actually, but Ella is more directly tied to pronoun use. Ellie is more my speed for the shorter El names, maybe Elle if I am feeling adventurous. I do like the connection to the book Ella Enchanted. It is a pinnacle for my childhood and I occasionally revisit it on audible.
