I actually like it. I'd pronounce it ''Djan-ah'' in English.

Where I live, it has some use among Afrikaans speakers: sounds like YAHnah, and probably originated as a nn for Johanna. I don't find it at all attractive.

This name of four letters creates three pronunciations: "JAY-na", "JAN-a" and "YA-na". Oh wait, according to BtN, there's a fourth Catalan version which is "ZHA-na".
