Millie/Milly and Tillie/Tilly
Comments? For example, what are your impressions of these names? Which ending do you prefer, -ie or -y? Which is your favorite? Least favorite? What can they be short for besides Millicent/Matilda/Mildred? Just curious and thanks!

As given names, it's a big yuck on all four.As nicknames, any of them is fine.
I really like Millie, but I’m afraid it can’t stand on its own. Camille or Camilla could work as a full name.
Millie and Tilly as a nn for Matilda
Millie is better than Milly. While Tilly is better than Tillie. Millie can be short for Émilie or Milana but I don't know what Tilly can be short for...
These names are very rare where I live. I know one Millie who is 92 years old, and that's all. In her case it's short for Mildred (which I love).I like Tilly with a Y, and Millie with an ie, I'm not sure why. But I like them both, Tilly slightly more.
I like them both and think they’re very cute. All the spellings look fine to me but I do prefer the ie spellings. Imo Millie/Milly works well as a standalone name but Tillie/Tilly should be short for something.Marilla & Amaryllis could be fn for Millie/Milly. For Tillie/Tilly, Otillie or Tilda, maybe Twila?
I know a Matilda who is sometimes called Tils by her family
As a teacher in the UK I'm tired of them both. Most kids I teach have these as full names.I won't repeat knes TMyers said.Emilia
