1. Katherine - 3 in my head, 2 in real life (but I do linger on the end of 'kath' so it's clearly Katherine and not Kathryn)

3. Dorothy - 2, maybe 2.5, but when I add that syllable I say it more like 'DOH-er-thy' instead of 'DOR-o-thy'. I also just say 'DOR-thy'.
4. Cameron - I feel like it's 3, but it does blend into Cam-ron. I used to work with someone who was actually named just Camron.

I think they are all 3 syllables.

If I am speaking at full normal speed, I think I say them all with 2 syllables -
except Violet is more like two and a half, and Cameron is maybe 2 and a quarter (it's not quite Camron).

If I'm enunciating carefully I say them with three syllables -
except Jacqueline, that's always 2. The K-L connection might break apart a bit, but I'm not saying a third syllable

Katherine, Dorothy, and Jacqueline are 3 syllables, Violet and Cameron are 2.

They're all 3 syllables for me.

As per BTN, all of the girl names can be pronounced with two or three syllables. Only Cameron is pronounced with two syllables.
