Name for Female Kitten
Our cat Stella was recently hit by a car and died on impact, she was 16 years old 💔. Our house was so quiet and our 2 year old daughter kept looking around the house for her. My partner was talking to a friend about it and said friend gave as his 6 month old female kitten as he had 2 and was struggling to take care of them both.
She had been called Roma but I've been struggling to call her that as I don't feel like it's complete, it's like if we called Stella Ella instead. It just doesn't feel right.
I've been thinking about calling her Aroma or Amara instead, my sister had suggested Aroha (means love). I'm not sure if we should go with one of these names (if so which one seems best) or something else.
Please help, we've just been calling her puss puss and puss cat at the moment but need to give her a proper name.

Thank you everyone for the lovely suggestions. We've decided to name our new kitten Luna. It's easy for our little to say (she now won't stop saying it, lol), it's also got a similar feel to Stella. Stella means 'Star' while Luna means 'Moon'.
Second thoughts: what about Purrdita?
I'm so sorry for your loss, that's awful.
I like Amara, that's really pretty.
These names kind of go with the love theme
Nayeli (means love)
Esmé (means love as well)
Mabel (loveable)

I'm so sorry for your loss! I have two 11-year-old (indoor) cats and am (hopefully prematurely) dreading their deaths—they're the first cats I've had...
What about Romola "Roma"? Romina could also work. Romilly? Rosemary? Rosamund? Romaine? Andromache? Andromeda?

I'd avoid Aroma - cats are such hygienic animals. Amara would be beautiful, and sounds more like purring than Aroha does.
How about Rosa?
Aw that would be cute
maybe Sybil?
