The spelling turns it into a shortened form of Andrew, which doesn't work as a girl name for me. If you enjoy the sound, then Drusilla would shorten easily to Dru.

Don't like it for a girl

I know a macho male Drew so it doesn't appeal to me for a girl (or even a boy for that matter). If you have a negative image in your mind about someone with a certain name, that name unfortunately becomes associated with that person.

Hate it. It's like the lazy celeb option.

It was my mother's middle name (Amy Drew), weirdly! I think her mom just liked the name.

Maybe as a nickname. I went to schools with a Drusilla called Dru. I could see Drew as a nickname for any female name derived from Andrew as well.

Not in style and Barrymore family.
