I really like it :)
I've only heard it for a boy

It sounds really bratty.
I don't really care for it, for some reason. I enjoyed the LEGO movie when I was younger, but I can only associate it with the main character of the movie. Also, I see it more as a male name, because I've only known of male Emmetts.
I think it's already trendy. I prefer Emeric.
Emmett Oswald
Emmett Laurence
Emmett Vivian
Emmett Leofric
Emmett Cornelius
Emmett Leopold
Emmett Alfonso
Emmett Ulysses
Emmett Cyprian
Emmett Aloysius
Emmett Conrad
Emmett Algernon
Emmett Archibald
Emmett Ferdinand
I hate it on a girl.

I've never seen it used outside the USA. Just another lnfn, I suppose; I'm not a bit keen on it.
For men, I think it's childish but not the worst. For women, I don't like it at all. I probably should like the name because I like a lot of names that are similar (Elliott, Everett, Ernest) but I just can't wrap my head around this one.
I really like it. I do consider it already popular however as I knew several Emmett’s and one Emmet growing up. Looks like it has only increased in popularity since then?
I never knew a female Emmett. I think it could work if you spelled it Emette or Emmette but I don’t like either.

cute. I first heard it watching the Lego Movie all those years ago
Great on a boy.
I'm good with it on a boy, but for whatever reason it feels strange on a girl despite being derived from a girls' name.
