I love the name Doris; I always have. I think that it sounds delicate and feminine, personally.
I dislike it, it sounds old as opposed to vintage. Additionally, it sounds like a boy name but is strictly feminine.
I think it's really pretty and I like Dory. It gives me ocean princess vibes.
I don't know if Doris will ever be in the top ten or anything, in my lifetime at least, but I could see it making a mild comeback. It has a quiet, warm, comforting energy to it that I think people will appreciate in the coming decades. I find it cute without being infantile.
Maybe if people knew it was a name from mythology they'd latch onto it with more enthusiasm. It would fit in with the Luna Aurora Lilith Penelope Chloe crowd then! Sort of.

I disagree. Theodora is on the rise, and I suspect more and more "-is" names will gain popularity (following Alice and Iris).
