I used to really hate it, but after getting used to it, it sounds nice. I find with a lot of names that might seem old lady-ish or dated seem a lot nicer after you warm up to them. I would spell it Beverly, though I don't have too strong an opinion on the spelling. I don't think it's quite ready for a comeback, though it could happen in a few decades. Plenty of once dated names regain popularity and seem modern again. By then, though, the -ly trend in names might have gotten old. I guess we'll have to wait and see! In comparison to Everly, this may be an unpopular opinion but I like both. I do prefer Everly, however I find Beverly to have more character.
