Re: Odd Flow?
The first thing I noticed was the four names with a shared sound: Doris, Lorna, Norman and Gordon. The "or" sound was popular in the past but it's not considered attractive to modern parents today. The first five children have pretty traditional and classic names. Then we get to Mona which does not suit the style of the family. Robert belongs with the older children.I think the parents started on the traditional name path but then decided to go with names that were trendy for that time (Mona plus the last five children). To me, Eva is an outlier because it's more "exotic" than the others.
