You have no idea how pleased I am to hear that even though you love the name Molly (so do I), you're using it as a nickname in case your child feels that Molly is to childish when she grows up. It's so refreshing to see a parent who is naming their child for the present as well as the future. Kudos times 1000000 for taking your CHILD into consideration when choosing a name!
