Scarlett feels vampish. Makes me think of O'Hara - hence, slavery in the American South.I don't like the Mad in Maddalena.Emma is very proper and buttoned up and so, so dull.Lily is sweet and green, but far from exciting.Elena has always felt synthetic and plastic to me in English.Helen is studious, ambitious, respectable. Not as attractive as Helena.Leah is fine. Friendly and low-key.Isabelle is dull.Ava is breathy and weak. I prefer Eva.I like EEV-lin, but not the other pronunciations, and I prefer it on a boy.Kylie is horrible.I really dislike the sound of Megan.
Scarlett: pretty, prefer Scarlet because the extra T is unnecessary, and I like the color association.
Maddalena: less clunky than Magdalena but would look better as Madalena. Its pretty.
Emma: classic, nice, but unexciting.
Lily: very pretty, a personal favorite.
Elena: pretty and regal.
Helen: old-fashioned and not unpleasant first syllable.
Leah: pretty but prefer Lea or Lia.
Isabelle: beautiful, but boring.
Ava: pretty, but too popular.
Evelyn: wonderful.
Kylie: cute but wouldn't as a legal name.
Megan: not attractive or interesting.
Thanks for the Madalena suggestion! It does look better! I would like Scarlet, but I don’t like someone with this name. Ava is too popular, you’re right. Kylie would be cute for a little girl, I agree only as a nickname. I do know way too many Emmas. By the time I have kids, I feel like Helen might make a comeback. Thanks! You have great taste!Any ideas for a full name for Kylie?

I like Emma, Lily, Elena, Leah, Isabelle, Ava, Evelyn, Kylie and Megan, don't like the others
Scarlett - not my favourite character, not my favourite book. Overrated name.
Maddalena - prefer English Madeline
Emma - bland and stodgy
Lily - I just think of gloomy funereal flowers
Elena - vastly prefer Eleanor
Helen - love it and would happily use it
Leah - not fond of any of the Lee names; at least this one has a history
Isabelle - why the French spelling? I prefer Isobel
Ava - flimsy and unimportant
Evelyn - I like it; I've heard Lyneve used (only once I think!) and I rather prefer that.
Kylie - lnfn; different spelling, but I used to know a Megan Kiley
Megan - used to be lovely; now it needs a long holiday

I really like Madeline too. My grandfather loved when I mentioned Helen(his mother’s name). He couldn’t get past Scarlett O’Hara for Scarlett though.
Scarlett - I don't see the appeal. It reminds me of scarlet woman and scarlet fever.Maddalena - ok but there are so many other versions to love like the French Madeleine or even Magdalena. Emma - pretty but over exposed. I prefer Emilia.Lily - a sweet flower name.Elena - Ok but I prefer Helena.Helen - see Elena Leah - a lot like Emma but preferable because it's not so popular.Isabelle - ok but my favorite version is the Scottish Isobel.Ava - it suffers the same ailment as Emma: it's been too popular for far too long that it has lost its spark. I prefer Eva myself.Evelyn - I fear this name is on its way down the Emma and Ava road. Evelina is much more memorable.Kylie - no thank you. Too Kardashian for me.Megan - a nice enough name but I know too many bad women with this name that it has become tainted.
Scarlett -If I'm being honest, it's tacky
Maddalena -don't adore it, but prefer it to Madeline. It sounds quite fancy and I can appreciate the rarity.
Emma -It's so popular that it used to be a white noise type of name for me, but paying attention to it, it sounds soft, gentle and charming.
Lily -I guess I can see why people find it pretty, though I've personally never understood the appeal
Elena -okay
Helen -love it!
Leah -Pretty, but not all that interesting
Isabelle -pretty, but not a personal favourite
Ava -simple, but very pretty
Evelyn -lovely vintage name. even if it's popular, it hasn't gotten old for me.
Kylie -whiny and annoying
Megan -it's fine
I see your point on Kylie! Scarlett doesn’t sound tacky to me, but I see why it would.
Scarlett - very much prefer the Scarlet spelling, but this is an absolutely stunning name!
Maddalena - seems too extra to me.
Emma - overused but pretty.
Lily - pretty, but I prefer the Lilly or Lilli spellings.
Elena - very elegant, best spelling.
Helen - I prefer Helena.
Leah - I don't really like names that end with H and prefer the Lia spelling.
Isabelle - such a gorgeous name!
Ava - simple and sweet.
Evelyn - not my thing, but I can see the appeal.
Kylie - not my thing.
Megan - I love this name!
