Maryla OR Mary
and wdyt?

Replies

Mary most definitely.
Mary. Maryla reminds me only of Marilla Cuthbert and Maryla Rodowicz.
Maryla is very charming, but I prefer Marilla to it (and to Mary).
I'd prefer the spelling Marilla, but anything is better than Mary.
Maryla is gorgeous, but prefer Mary. I like both names very much, to be honest with you.
Like Marilla? That spelling is throwing me off. Either way, Mary.
Definitely Mary. I like it, and used it instead of Maria as a mn for my first daughter, Maria being a family name but it just didn't fit. I suppose Mary must be a family name in just about every English-speaking family on the planet, but now it's also unusual and surprising. I can't even pronounce Maryla; where I live it would sound like mu-RAY-lu, which doesn't appeal. Or would it be like Marina, with an L instead of the N? Not very good either, IMO.
