I only like Posy as a nickname for Josephine or Primrose.
It's adorable for a baby and a young girl but I think it sounds too cute and twee as a first name for a grown woman.
Many parents forget that we spend most of our lives as adults so instead of thinking "we're naming a baby" they should be thinking "we're naming a mature human being". A name has to stand the test of time and be appropriate for all ages.
Posy makes me think of flowers and springtime. It has a friendly, cheerful and optimistic vibe.
