I like both, but I'm picking Lara because kids are going to spell their name backwards.

Not a huge fan of either but "Lara" feels awkward to say. I prefer Lana. Also reminds me of Lana Del Rey if that means anything to you.

Neither. They don't happen where I live, so I have no context for them. They look stunted and unfinished. I'd far prefer Laura.

Lara. I prefer Alana / Alannah to Lana. Lara just seems more elegant and complete as a name, even though it can also be a short form.

Definitely Lara, Lana means “wool” in my first language and seems nicknamey.
