How much impact do you think someone's name can have on them?
There are a lot of psychology articles about how someone's names affect them, and I'm curious about your perspective on this.

Depends on the person. And it's not just names. I had a colleague who was bipolar and could cope well enough for short periods but could never keep a job for long. His names weren't an issue, but he'd discovered somehow that he had the same birthday as Adolf Hitler, and this upset him and worried him. I said that he must share his birthday with one-three hundred and sixty-fifth of the world's population in the year he was born, and nothing bad happened to any of them, but it didn't work!
Oh my gosh, we have the same birthday! It’s been dubbed the “worst day of the year.” It’s also the same day as the Columbine shooting and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. And it’s weed day.
It can have a lot or none at all depending on a person's circumstances.
I think it can have an impact, but along with other factors.
A lot of impact, or very little. Two people can have the same very unusual name, and have very different experiences with it.
Two people can have the same wildly popular name, and have very different experiences with it.I think society, fashion, culture, upbringing, and life experiences are the real issue - the name just serves as a focal point.
Thank you.
My full name can be made into a very obvious pun. I used to get a lot of ridicule about it, but now I tend to joke about it with new people. When I was younger, it made me resent myself, later realizing that their opinions don't matter. I feel like the impacts a name can have are entirely subjective; no two people are the same, so it may affect some more/less than others. I don't know how I could pinpoint a specific amount, I'm so sorry 😅.
Thank you. And it's okay. I am not good at calculation related.
