It's because Timberleigh and Makynzee belong to identifiable trends (-ley endings and kre8tiv spellings, respectively). Aurora and Penelope are a modern/popular names, but they don’t necessarily belong to a particular trend. So I guess that's the difference between trendy and popular.
I've been on this site for a long time and have loved Aubriella, Ariella, Lilliana, and Sapphire before they started climbing the charts, so to see those on the rise is exciting for me. I also love Aurora.
I do not like Ainsley, Everly, Harper, Kinsley, Oakley, Palmer, Penelope, Piper, Salem, Sawyer, or Sutton.
