I don't like either name, especially not Maxine. As a fn/ln combo it does sound good, kind of like a jazz singer's name.
But as a fn/mn combo, it's badly mismatched. Like a frumpy, bad-fitting fifties housedress paired with trendy Jimmy Choo stiletto heels.
