I think "kre8tive" is subjective. For instance, BtN lists "Nathanael" as the original spelling and "Nathaniel" as the variant. By that logic, I love the original, and hate the variant. Yet, most people I know think Nathanael is the "kre8tive" spelling of Nathaniel.
Some spellings that I like people in my country would consider "kre8tive", when they are in fact German - Bianka and Veronika, for example.
But I do like Catheryn. That I would consider "kre8tive"!

It’s so strange when the apparently original spelling is not popular at all.
I think Queen Catherine Parr actually spelled her name Katheryn!
