Help me choose a name for my original character
Hi! I'm making an original character and I have a list of names for them but I'm not sure which one to pick.
Fletcher
Forrest
Vincent
Julien
Roman
Which one is the best? Also if you have any other good name suggestions of a similar vibe I'd love to hear them :)
Edit, because I was told that I should have more information on the character themselves:
The TL;DR is that this character is a vampire trying to fit in with a group of vampire hunters. Specifically looking for names that are modern and recognizable but also formal and a bit strange.

Vincent seems almost too vampirey. I feel like it has probably been given to vampire characters already. But if you find that it hasn't, it should stay in consideration.I think Roman would be perfect. It's just a little bit too awkward and martial to be the name of a popular character, but seems dramatic and handsome enough for a vampire.
Out of those: Vincent or Julian
Fletcher - witty, quick, outdoorsy, honest and helpful but also a bit of a trickster character, chaotic good, very open and expressive.
Forrest - associated with forests but also has surname vibes, more of a serious personality that Fletcher would be, sounds older, probably someone who does a lot of physical labor and is outside a lot, looks rugged.
Vincent and Julien - charismatic, attractive, artistic, scholarly, more 'lofty' than Fletcher and Forrest (like "indoor" types with a careful aesthetic). Vincent is a little more secretive, Julien is more youthful and open, but they're very similar. They both sound rich or upper-class but not in a haughty way.
Roman - a more 'rugged' type than Vincent and Julien, more earthy, and could be a more Machiavellian character, more rich/spoiled than Forrest (still rugged but in more of a show-offy way). more... Oliver
Corbin
Thorin
Hawthorne
Kell
Malachi
Jasper
Dorian
Damien
Lucius
Lucien
Victor
Conrad
Silas
Alastor
Cassian
Ooh! I like a lot of these names! I'll definitely put them into consideration. Also, thanks for the descriptors of the ones I like.
There’s a Writing Help message board I think this post would fit in better. You may get better responses there.
To be fair, the description for this board does include character names.
Yes, this actually is the right board for questions about character names.
But you can post a question like this in either place, whichever you prefer.
Oh, okay. I'll repost this there. I'm sorry, I'm not too familiar with this site
I think a name depends entirely on the character, the character’s background/parents and era, so we’ll need more information. The names you mentioned are good names and recognisable, but again we need to know more about the story.

Ah. Sorry. He has a whole backstory and stuff that I didn't feel like typing out. The TL;DR is that he's a vampire trying to hide in with a group of vampire hunters, set in the modern age. I'm looking for names that are more formal yet still modern and recognizable.
Thank you! I think the names you have chosen are perfect for your story :) Personally I like Fletcher best as it’s not your typically “vampire name” like Damian. I think Dracotorix’s descriptions are spot on.
