Jessamy and Fern
I'm reading a really good book - The Icarus Girl - and it's got a pair of twins named Jessamy and Fern. I love the subtle botanical connection and find both names lovely. Thoughts? The poets have mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese. G.K. Chesteron

Much prefer Jessamine. Fern is okay but I know that it used to be slang for.... private areas so I tend to stear clear of it
I like Fern as a nn for Fernanda; Jessamy is too ornate.I suspect you left out a 'been' in your Chesterton quote!
Thanks! I've fixed it.
I really like Fern! I would use it!Jessamy is just a bit too much for me but I get the appeal.
I adore Fern. Jessamy is ok, but I prefer Jessamine.
Jessamy is just kind of weird to look at and say, so I’m not a big fan of it. Fern I absolutely love though! It’s sweet and spunky at the same time, I love the botanical connection and it’s just short, simple and beautiful.
Jessamy is ok, don't like Fern
I really dislike Jessamy. It seems like it would fit right in with the trendy, invented mash up names that are so popular now, even though it’s not invented or a mash up. The sound is just abrasive to my ears as well.Fern however is quite nice and seems so gentle an sweet.
I love Jessamy, it’s really cute. Not a fan of Fern, it’s too obvious. The sibset is ok.
Oooh, Jessamy is a beautiful name! Fern is alright too.
Both are lovely, yes! Jessamy is so gentle and evocative.
