Name opinion
What is your opinion on the name Guy? Our first born is named Leon and we are having the hardest time with naming our second boy due in April. My husband and I personally like Guy, but I can see it being polarizing. Other names we kind of like are Ronan, Emil, Connell.

A big no if you’re somewhere English speaking.
Don’t like it, it’s like calling a girl, well, girl! My brain just doesn’t see it as a name, sorry! Funnily enough, I love Sonny for a boy and some people can’t get behind that as a name either. I do think there are better options out there. I like the sound of: Leon and Reece
Leon and Samuel
Leon and Oscar
Leon and Wesley
Leon and Eli
Leon and Elliott
Leon and Edmund
Leon and Remy
Leon and Riley
Leon and Toby / Tobias
Leon and Isaac
Leon and Oliver
Leon and Asher
Leon and Archie / Archer
Leon and Seth
Leon and Darcy
Leon and Felix
Leon and Finley
Leon and Hugo
Leon and Harry / Henry
Leon and Jacob
Leon and Jesse
Leon and Zeke
Leon and Xavier
Leon and Chester
Leon and Vincent
Leon and Barnaby
Leon and Milo
Leon and MilesOf the other names you mentioned, I like Emil the most.
Always been a real gp leader on my list. Also love Ronan, but don't care for the others.
I absolutely hate it. I like all the other options better and think they go with Leon better. Besides just seeming like a random placeholder word, Guy is also very sharp and blunt sounding. Leon is the complete opposite, as are the other names. They are softer, rounder, more full sounding names.
I think it's silly, and it makes me think of Guy Fawkes.
Ironically this is a namesake that has improved my opinion of the name. 😅
I know it's an old, very legitimate name, but to me it sounds like a placeholder, like Sonny or Bud, but with a kind of smarminess the others don't have.
Don't care for it at all. Leon & Ronan are excellent together. Emil is good too.
Don't like it
I Leon and Ronan
I really like Guy and would be thrilled to meet young brothers named Leon and Guy. I also love Emil and think it complements Leon perfectly.

I love the name Guy, but only when pronounced like the English word "guy". I don't like the French version nearly so much. I find Guy pretty cool, it's sort of got this iconic beatnik thing going on. Who cares if other people hate it? People are fools. There are lots of people out there who hate Leon with a passion, too. Emil is really cute. I find it cozy and clever, which is my kind of thing. Guy is blunt and more wry, almost sarcastic in tone. Emil is gentle and sincere. I like Ronan, but I'm not sure Ronan really lets Leon shine. Emil and Guy are great ideas.
I think Guy is seriously one of the worst names ever. I do not get the appeal of naming someone after their gender. Makes zero sense to me.
Tbh it feels lazy. A step away from naming your son Boy.I like Ronan and Emil tho!
To be fair, the word came from the name, not the other way around.
That is fair, but doesn’t make it more appealing to use irl imo.
