What do you think of vegetation/leaf inspired names?
Such as Kale (single syllable), Nori, Romaine, Palm, and Maple?
Replies
Maple I LOVE! I also like/love Cedar, Fern, Ivy, Rosemary, Sage, Basil, Acacia, Cassia, Saffron and names like those.
There are lots of gorgeous botanical names, but I’m not big on these particular ones.
They're alright.
Vegetation names are my favourite, especially rare ones, such as Sassafras, Crocus, Sycamore, Trillium, Strelitzia, Asphodel, Banksia, Fleurdelys, Kattleya, Cedar, Poinsettia, Yarrow, Gentian... to name a few.
I have been liking Romaine, but now I like it better because of the lettuce.

Terrible
I like plant names. But maybe not so much edible ones.
I do too but the edible spices or ingredients are where I draw the line.
I love nature names! Kale sounds fine but to make it more "namey" I'd use Cale since it is a direct NN for Caleb and other names.
I like Nori and was not aware that it was a plant.
Romaine was okay, and I did not know that it was a plant.
Palm is very...balmy. Its smooth and comforting. Guilty pleasure.
I ADORE Maple. I would honestly consider using it. Maple syrup does not ruin it for me because its also a tree and I love maple syrup.

I think exactly the same as you on this!
Valerian is so pretty.
I kinda like Basil.
