Re: Which name would you choose: a name that was popular among you or your parents' generation or an old-fashioned name that hasn't made a comeback?

I'm more likely to use names from my great-grandparents and great-great grandparent's generation. Many of those names are coming back in style or at least feel fresher than than the more recently dated names.
My parents were from the generation that included a lot of people with names like Kimberly, Kevin, Tammy, James "Jim," Scott, and Jeffrey. I think my parent's generation will be in a nursing home by the time their names make a comeback.
My generation had a lot of names like Jessica, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Tyler, Matthew and Brandon. I wouldn't give a kid a name that sound's like their parent's peer.
