Elvis (f) and Malibu Barbie
Trisha Paytas pregnant with first son, Elvis, following birth of Malibu Barbie last year 🩷

Kids aren't pets, accessories, or objects to garner more likes.

Elvis on a girl is terrible and for a boy there is only one and Malibu Barbie is a doll's name
I don't actually mind Elvis or Barbie (I do feel they are borderline too kitschy, though beyond that they seem nice/interesting), but specifically naming your kid after a doll is creepy (naming your kid after a fashion icon is already a little weird seeming to me but naming them after a toy one is about 98% worse). I don't like Malibu by itself any more than I like Daytona or Malaysia, and I'd rate those a 3/10.

I seriously can’t picture Elvis on anyone but Elvis Presley. Malibu Barbie is just dumb.
Elvis is fine as a name, but it's not my taste. It sounds kind of weird. I prefer Elvin or Alvin.Malibu is kind of cute but sounds more like a nickname. If it was just Barbie on its own, it could have been a throwback sort of thing. Malibu Barbie together sounds like a stage name - or a type of fashion doll. It is not suitable as a legal name.
Sounds perfect for a Trisha Paytas baby. Say what you will about them, but at least that's someone who seems to know themselves. Or their.... Brand.
Actually, Trisha doesn't know the gender of the baby, but said she'll use the name Elvis whether it's a boy or a girl. Yikes.Elvis on a boy is alright - it's such a dated name but it's still usable. However, it's too masculine to be bestowed on a girl! She should use Eloise, since it's less common and shares the same etymology with Elvis.Malibu, per se, isn't bad. I actually like it a lot; it's such a unusual place name. It also reminds me of the song by Hole. But Malibu Barbie sounds like a complete joke, and the Simpsons parody of the Barbie doll (Malibu Stacy) comes to mind.

Ain't no way in hell Trisha Paytas is ever going to use a name like Eloise, lol.

I've no idea who she is, I'm guessing she's well known?
They are a YouTuber (using "they" because I think they are non-binary, but I'm not 100% sure). Their whole brand is troll-y and over-the-top and ridiculous. They have been involved in a few controversies, but I can't remember the details.
Huh, Trisha is so conventional. I'd think they'd change their name or at least add an ostentatious stage name.
disagree ...... that Elvis is all right for a boy. It might be, but it's such a one-off kind of name, so totally associated with Presley, that I think it's just about impossible for the majority of people to separate the name from him. I imagine there were other Elvises before him, but Presley is the only one anyone's likely to know about, except Costello and he named himself after Presley.
I feel like I remember a Scandinavian poster here mentioning a sighting or two of it. Years and years ago but still. Maybe because it's so like Alvis. And Elvis was used 122 times (all boys) in the US in 2021. Compared with Beyonce which was only 5 times and Madonna which was 6 times (all girls), that seems fairly regular usage for a rare name. The #1000 name for boys that year was only used 217 times.
