What names do you think should be retired?
Since its 2024, the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane, Pacific Hurricane, and the Pacific Typhoon seasons have ended.
Before they pick their retired names, what do you think they should retire and what with?
And no, I don't suggest retiring ones because they had a devastating impact on a past season.I did a poll on the ATL season and Emily was the leading one, mainly due to being the costliest hurricane not retired in 2005.

To be honest, hurricanes shouldn't ruin names. They are natural and unavoidable. They also should not be named after people.. other tragedies go in this category too. I mean, Columbine?
I think they should retire all of them.
Retire that whole system and start naming storms with, I dunno, obscure sciency nouns.
Hurricane Arcsecond, Typhoon Clathrate, Tropical Storm Emmetropia
Or name them using the scientific genus names of plants or insects.
Hurricane Larix, Typhoon Ixodes ... why not??
Or for the month and year with letters to count them: Hurricane 2024 July-B, Typhoon 2025 April-A ...
Anything but people-names.
I strongly agree! Look how everyone treated Katrina...it's not fair to the people.
