What categories of names do you generally don't like?
In my case (it is mostly subjective) :-Very rough male name.
-Very frilly female name.
-Names with start with a vowel and no consonants other than r and l.
-A name that feels overly cute. And as someone from a non-English speaking country, I would advise you not to get too creative with name spelling.

Creative spellings
Names with more than a few unnecessary letters like Mckenzeigh, Jayceon or Maybelline. McKenzie, Jayson and Mabeline would be better. I don't dislike spellings for being unique or different, I just don't like consonant clusters.
Names with nasal sounds, like Ainsley.
English names spelled with Ae rather than Ay or Ai. Kae and not Kay. AE looks really foreign to me, and not in an exotic way.
Awww, I agree with most of this but I think Maybelline is a beautiful name. Mabeline is much less appealing to me, personally. I generally prefer double Ls.
-Names that end with the "lee" sound (ex. Everly, Kinsley, Presley)
-Names that sound too childish and nicknamey (ex. Tilly, Lindy, Elsie)
-Old-fashioned names that end with consonants (ex. Mildred, Ethel, Doris)
-Names that are just the letter "A" with some random consonants (ex. Amara, Anaya, Alaya)

-Most Modern/Inventive names. Most of them are just a passing fad. -Creative spellings, particularly any that are somehow trendy. (I'm talking about -Leigh/Lee suffix names and replacing a vowel with a 'Y'Titles/Monarch names: Just soooo pretentious. Duke & Earl are the only ones that work.Nouns & other random words that just shouldn't be names.
Generally - with exceptions:
- Creative spellings, unnecessary y's, x's and z's (Exzavier, Madisyn, Rileigh, etc.)
- Ones that are super dated and sound like my grandparents' siblings (Walter, Florence, Dottie, Mildred)
- Trendy ones that will become dated to a time period (like the creative spellings -leigh endings, replacing vowels with y, pop culture references like Katniss, Miley, Renesmee)
- Names that start with U (Ursula, Ulysses, Una, Uma)
- Title names (King, Queenie, Princess, Prince, Duke)
- Random words (I don't mean established names that happen to also be words or commonly used jewels, nature, virtues, etc. but names like Blue, Lucky, Ace)
- Names with apostrophes
- Names that are very complex and hard to pronounce that come from Biblical or Mythological sources (Achilles, Zeus, Bathsheba)
- Cutesy or Pet-like names (Poppy, Bunny, Honey, Buddy, Rex)
- Random animals (Why are people naming kids Bear?)
Thank you
