I think Clara is a great name! It's beautiful and classic. I personally prefer "Claira", though. :)

yea I like them both maybe though for a kid for me Claire would be a good middle name and Clara a good first name.

Claire is a great middle name!

Yes. It’s in the no. 1 spot on my list actually. It’s spunkier than Claire and it has an international feel.

It's a very beautiful and classy name, elegant as well. I have a niece named Clara, so naturally the name has meaning to me. Although, I have always enjoyed and admired it long before her. I also had 2 friends named Clara (both from separate times in my life and both incredibly lovely) so I also have positive associations attached to it as well. 😊

I’m going with good. It’s not my favorite name in the world but there’s nothing wrong with it.

It's ok, Clara Anne is a little bit lumpy when said together with the a ending then a start

I always liked Clara a lot, until I met a couple from the UK whose Clara daughter's name wasn't CLAHra but CLARE-a, rhyming with Sarah. Now, I look at it suspiciously! I still like it, but I've always liked Clare (that spelling) better and that's the form of the name that I'd happily use.

Clara is a good name, but I like Claire and Sinclair a lot more.

I like Clara a lot. My first association will always be the book Heidi by Johanna Spyri.

What about ClaraAnn?

Is it common where you live?

Clara Ann sounds a little dated. Anne and Ann were very popular as a middle name for women of my generation and up to 15 years younger than me. Nearly every woman my age seems to have the middle names Anne, Ann or Louise and I’m 39. The A at the end of Clara also runs into the A at the start of Ann. If it was me I would avoid an A middle name but this is just personal preference as I have the same issue with my name. My first name ends in an A and my middle name is Agnes. Clara is not very common here and I live in Scotland.
