Very trite where I live; I'd be amazed to meet an Anneke (the usual spelling here) under 50. It's usually a full name rather than a nn.

I live in South Africa, where Afrikaans (a dialect of Dutch) is spoken as a first language by 14% of the population (and English by 9%). Anneke, with spelling variations, is almost exclusively used by Afrikaans speakers.

Thank you for responding! I’m in the states, so I think it’d be okay here.Btw is Anneke pronounced like Annika (ah-nah-ka or an-nah-ka)?

Ah and two neutral vowels - AH-nə-kə.
