Isabella always seemed like a very "fair" name to me, I guess because the first place I really saw it was in reference to a medieval princess - you know, the sort that don't have any eyebrows and shave their foreheads and all that. Isabella is white and shiny, like a wet boiled egg. Nina is darker. I had a brilliant friend called Nina growing up and she had black hair and beautiful almond shaped eyes. Then there was the character of Nina from Black Swan that so perfectly captured the elegantly nondescript brunette beauty of a ballerina. I like Nina more. It's fresh, sharp, and compact. Isabella is beautiful but it's a bit much.
