Which names do you think have been ruined for you by characters from books or films?

Mario and Luigi. I know they’re technically originally from a video game, but they are also in movies.
Ichabod. Love this name for its rich, strong, rhythmic sound, I just love to say it.
But Ichabod Crane has the sole hold on this name, it's instantly synonymous with Sleepy Hollow. Crane is certainly not a character you want to live up to.
Same with Ebenezer. Nobody can hear this name and not think of Scrooge.
Both stories are over 150 years old by now, but still these characters are by far the only bearers of these names in most everybody's minds.

Not my case, but many people think of the haunted doll when they hear the name Annabelle, unfortunately.
Hannibal has lost name potential after being given to Lecter. Since it's a rare name, it's really hard to see it used on other media.
I agree with namesarecool285, Elsa is too associated with Frozen. The name even had a spike in popularity in my country because of the character.

I agree with ShioTanbo1; I tend to put bad associations aside, because stigmas can fade away. The only name that’s been ruined for me is Elsa, which I absolutely love…people think of the “Frozen” character (who isn’t a bad character, but it’s so associated with “Frozen”).
I try not to let things like that ruin names for me, especially because trends and associations can die down. However, Lolita's connection to the book has not changed. It's a beautiful and cute name, though. Might be safer as a middle name or nickname. It was the character's nickname anyway. I never liked the sound of look or Bryce, but Bryce from 13 Reasons Why makes me feel sick - in the book and the show.
Bella was almost ruined for me. I used to hate it specifically because of Isabella "Bella" Swan from Twilight. Now, the only reason I wouldn't use it for a child is because of how common it is.
The Marilyn Monroe (no hate to her, only the controversy) association used to put me off Marilyn, but it's quite pretty. It's just not really my style, nor is it my favorite name that comes from Mary.
