I have also always loved the name Megan, and pronounced it as “Meh-gehn;” furthermore, I also like the “Meghan” spelling (for this pronunciation). The name Megan is a name that reminds me of sunny meadows, which are beautiful to me. Though, at the same time, Megan also has a fierce, spicy kick to it.
I always loved it before it became popular and when it was, where I live anyway, pronounced like MEGan. Then it went viral and people started saying MEEgan, which made me less enthusiastic. Now, I'm beginning to enjoy it again.
I’m not a fan and I am perpetually confused whether to pronounce it as MEGH-un, ME-gun or MAY-gun.
I like Megan but being from the 80s i know too many.
Megan is really quite cute when I try to think about it objectively. I grew up in a Megan generation so at first I have a knee-jerk negative reaction to it, simply because I knew so many (you know what's really weird though? Once I left high school my life has been remarkably Megan-free. Where did they all go??)BUT, if I give it a chance, Megan has a lot of the same charms as something like Gwen. It's tidy, self contained, steady and sensible, warmly quaint without being a country bumpkin. I can see why it appealed to so many people.
I dislike it
Dated and overused.
I hate it, sorry. I find it ugly, and my life feels oversaturated with Megans.
