Timeless name that can be used as a first or middle name.

I love it as a first name! As a middle it is pretty but it loses a lot of charm. Like Dracotorix, I agree that it's classic but also refreshing and unexpected to see it as a first name.

It's boring to me

I think it's pretty solid and timeless, but I'm still pleasantly surprised when I see Rose as a first name on someone youngish. It's not dated exactly, but on younger people I expect it as a filler mn and don't expect it as a complete first name. I'm more likely to expect a first name to be Rosalie or something else related to Rose but not just Rose itself.
