Re: Shiloh/Shilo for a boy?

I like Shiloh. It has a calm, soft, smoky, hazy feel.
I think Shilo looks a little more feminine than Shiloh by association with nicknames where the short/cut off version is considered the feminine version (Joe vs. Jo, Nicky vs. Nicki, Bobby vs. Bobbi, etc.) I think it looks incomplete compared to Shiloh.
I also feel like the "h" on the end is what makes Shiloh have that long "shy" sound, kind of like the "h" in Mariah. I'd still pronounce Shilo like Shiloh, so not quite like Mariah where you take off the h and it becomes Maria, but Shiloh still looks more balanced.
